On June 2nd, the Blue Shield project team gathered at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon for an internal working meeting following the international workshop held the previous day at the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
The meeting brought together the project’s team – Pedro Seabra, Roxana Andrei, Licínia Simão, Nektarios Nasikas, Katrina Duka-Gulbe, and Mehmet Ulug – alongside research assistants Bob Voorneveld, Kaarle Ratia, Shawn Michael Rix, Caleb Elijah Price, and Filipe Ildefonso.
Building on the discussions and insights gathered during the workshop, the team reviewed the main takeaways emerging from the exchanges with representatives from European institutions, national authorities, academia and civil society. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on how these contributions can further strengthen the project’s research agenda.
