Blue Shield Coordinator, Pedro Seabra, participated in the podcast “90 segundos de Ciência” (in Portuguese), where he presented the project as an initiative aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of viewing European maritime spaces as a shared space facing constant challenges. In parallel, expected activities will also include direct consultations and citizen debates to understand public perception of what constitutes a European maritime security.
As explained in the podcast, “The ultimate goal is to begin promoting a shared awareness of what this concept [of European maritime security], sometimes very theoretical and abstract, can mean in people’s daily lives”. Ultimately, the project aims to lay the groundwork for a joint European debate on these issues, integrating different perspectives and opinions from civil society.
