As one the key expected outputs, the Blue Shield project will organize an interdisciplinary workshop on June 1st in Lisbon, in the premises of the European Maritime Security Agency (EMSA), which will bring together a select group of participants – including representatives from European and national institutions, academia, and other stakeholders
Blue Shield Coordinator, Pedro Seabra, participated in the podcast “90 segundos de Ciência” (in Portuguese), where he presented the project as an initiative aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of viewing European maritime spaces as a shared space facing constant challenges. In parallel, expected activities will also include direct consultations and citizen debates to understand public perception of what constitutes a European maritime security.
